Regular Events   Pennant Activities

Membership of the GDVGA is open to members of registered golf clubs in the Geelong District who are over 55 years of age and have a current, official handicap.  A small joining fee is charged to cover administrative costs and an annual fee of just $25 entitles members to play in all GDVGA sanctioned events, including a pennant competition conducted during the summer months.

Approximately 20 events are scheduled throughout the year and competition fees, which include a light lunch and green fees, start from just $20.  Some venues do attract a higher charge; but even so, members still receive very favourable rates and enjoy playing most of the top courses on the Bellarine Peninsula including The Sands, Clifton Springs, Anglesea, Curlewis, Portarlington, Lonsdale and Thirteenth Beach.  Competition is usually individual Stableford and most events start from 8:00 am on a Monday.

Pre-entry for all regular events is essential and this is generally achieved through the GDVGA delegate at participating clubs.  Tee times are determined once entries close, usually a week before the competition is held, and details are published in the Geelong Advertiser and on this web site, as are results.
